Terms of Use
Last updated August 2026. These terms apply to every organisation and individual using MyPlacementHub.
1. What MyPlacementHub is
MyPlacementHub is a neutral listing and enquiry platform. It publishes placement availability supplied by registered care providers and gives local authorities a structured, auditable way to make an enquiry. It is not a placement agency, broker or commissioning body, and it takes no commission on any placement.
2. Placement decisions remain with the local authority
Nothing on the platform is a recommendation to place a child, young person or adult. Match scores, availability figures and regulator judgements are decision support only. The commissioning local authority remains solely responsible for suitability assessment, safeguarding checks, contracting and statutory duties.
3. Accuracy of provider information
Providers are responsible for the accuracy of their own listing, including registration details, capacity and availability. Providers must keep availability current and must correct any listing that becomes inaccurate. We display when availability was last confirmed so that councils can judge how much weight to give it.
4. Eligibility and verification
Accounts are restricted to staff of local authorities, health and social care bodies, and registered care providers. We verify accounts using official email domains, regulator registration identifiers and manual review. We may refuse, suspend or withdraw an account where we cannot satisfy ourselves that it is genuine.
5. Acceptable use
You must not submit identifying information about a child, young person or adult through the platform. You must not scrape the directory, resell access, misrepresent your organisation, or use the platform to market unrelated services. Reviews may only be left by an account with a confirmed placement with that provider, and must be a fair, factual account of the working relationship.
6. Who you are contracting with
The platform is operated by Envirostep Ltd (a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16406804), trading as MyPlacementHub, registered office Office 1731, 182-184 High Street, North Area 1/1, East Ham, London, E6 2JA, United Kingdom. By creating an account or continuing to use the platform you agree to these terms and enter into an agreement with Envirostep Ltd. If you are acting for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
7. Intellectual property
Envirostep Ltd owns the platform and all intellectual property in it, including the software, matching logic, interface, documentation and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the platform within your selected plan. You must not copy, resell, reverse engineer or circumvent any technical limit of the service.
8. Subscriptions, payment and tax
Provider plans are described on the pricing page. Local authority and social work accounts are free of charge. During the pilot, provider listings are free and no payment is taken.Paid plans renew automatically for the billing period you chose until cancelled. Payment, billing, currency, tax and invoicing are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Refunds and cancellations are covered by our Refund Policy.
9. Reseller and Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
10. Availability of the service
We aim to keep the platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may change or withdraw features, and will give reasonable notice of material changes affecting live listings or enquiries. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are excluded.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access where there is a material breach of these terms, non-payment of a subscription, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violation of our acceptable use rules — including any attempt to submit identifying information about a person receiving care. Where the law allows, we will give notice and an opportunity to correct the problem first. On termination you may request an export of your organisation's records before they are deleted in line with our retention periods.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for placement outcomes, for decisions made on the basis of information published by providers, or for indirect or consequential loss including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to pilot@myplacementhub.co.uk or raised through the pilot enquiry form, and we will respond to the named contact for your organisation.
